My father was a paraplegic for 26 1/2 years, going into nursing home long before being an elder. He was on nursing home residents committee, helped with boy scouts, made crafts, had a garden and won the governor's award for activism in nursing homes. Nursing home and elder care facilities need the option to have absentee ballots brought to them so they can keep voting and having a say in how our government runs, Supervisors of checklist or other reliable persons can deliver these ballots so residents not freely out in the community can have their voices heard. We do not want to bar nursing home/elder care residents from participating in our voting duties. Kathleen R. Allen, Peterborough
