All children deserve to have the option to receive hot meals at school regardless of the amount of money parents make. Just because a parent makes over the income guidelines shouldn’t mean that they shouldn’t be eligible for free lunch. A family that has a combined income of $120,000 can struggle, between inflation, rent and mortgage increases, and bills families are struggling families that didn’t struggle 10 years ago are now living pay check to paycheck.
