Mandating student participation in any “oral, written, or digital lesson, lecture, or presentation” with no provision to opt out of required viewing is an unconstitutional threat to liberty. If HB 662 is to pass, I request that the sponsors consider an addendum stating that there will be no penalty, including but not limited to grading, for any NH school district or chartered public school student for conscientiously objecting to misinformation. Additionally, the sponsors of HB 662 must consider protections for NH school districts or chartered public school personnel or agents, particularly school nurses, for providing comprehensive information including reproductive health care resources at the request of a student and their parent(s)/guardian. Thank you.
