Karen Blake | Oppose HB392

As the parent of an almost adult child with a developmental disability I oppose this bill in total with emphasis on Governor's Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion. The charge of the Governor's Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion is in part to "(2) funding to support Vocational Rehabilitation, or another appropriate agency, in its efforts to better connect with businesses to promote competitive integrated employment and opportunities for people with disabilities". In this current workforce crisis across the state we would be better served by adding support and funding to include people with disabilities in the workforce. In the near future my child with a disability will be looking to work here in New Hampshire after college and having a advisory council that promotes inclusion will be key in supporting and retaining workforce in New Hampshire.
