I oppose HB 635, which would tax non-profit entities who settle "illegal" immigrants. This is a punitive bill that could endanger the status of non-profit organizations across the state. It is the antithesis of what we should be doing in NH, which is to provide a welcoming and robust system of assistance to everyone in need in the state, documented or not. Imagine a state that aspires to safety, health and community with dignity for all. I urge committee members to oppose HB 635 as well.
