As a member of the Wolfeboro Planning Board, I am very concerned about the steps the State is taking to dismantle planning boards' ability to plan and zone. This bill would be a disincentive to towns and cities to upgrade or expand their sewer systems. It would negatively impact our lakes and our communities. There would be additional costs for services to remote areas of cities and towns. How would a developer be able to determine the viability of a project without conducting soil mapping? This bill is the opposite of planning. It would eviscerate zoning ordinances in July with towns unable to address the changes until March 2026.
