In the face of ever-increasing demands for electricity, it is short-sighted to discontinue a program that has worked to help our state meet demand without increasing the environmental impacts of our aging fossil-fuel based suppliers. The Renewable Portfolio Standard makes good environmental sense and is good for ratepayers. It should not be phased out.
