The RPS program is an important element of the transition away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy sources. We should continue this important program to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels which is polluting out planet and continues to be volatile to external market forces out of our control. Renewable energy sources have the distinct advantage of eliminating the variable costs of energy generation. By leaving the RPS program intact, we encourage the smooth transition away from fossil fuels.
