The fossil fuel industry would like NH to stop the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy solutions. This bill would eliminate one of the approaches our state is using to reduce its pollution from fossil fuels. Perhaps someone picked up the idea for this bill from a fossil fuel industry-funded ALEC conference? This bill would be good for the fossil fuel industry, not for the citizens and businesses of NH. The current NH Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) sunsets this year. Neighboring states put us to shame concerning de-carbonization goals.
