The fact that "the land of the free and the home of the brave" - the beacon of hope for democracy and justice worldwide would even consider dissolving health and human services' office of HEALTH EQUITY, and functions for CIVIL RIGHTS and JUSTICE is absolutely baffling and points to the darkness in the hearts of those proposing such a measure. Countless generations before us have fought, bled and died to enshrine the concepts that these offices lean into. Perfect or not, Americans have aspired towards those goals, as they express the best of us. I am in opposition to the proposal. And, as we all must stand before the Creator of the Universe at some time in the future, we will need to give individual and collective account on the choices we've made on this measure as well.
