I am demanding that HB 476 not be passed. Legislators who do not have a strong understanding of female human anatomy or how it works should not be passing laws that regulate women, or protect medical personnel or pharmaceutical workers from denying care to women, based on said personnel's own religion or ideology. If providing certain kinds of medical care, OR if you're a pharmacist and giving needed medication to women is against your religion, maybe you're in the wrong line of work. This is government interfering in the intimate lives of women in a political and emotional way that has no bearing, influence, or exposure to scientific/medicinal knowledge. For the record, years ago I had to have one of my ovaries removed because of cysts. The aftercare involved taking birth control to keep the cysts in remission. If this law had been in effect at that time, it most certainly would have had a continuing problem. Do not pass this bill.
