Wind energy is currently the most cost effective method of generating electricity. It would be insane not to use this effectively-free resource. We should also consider that wind, solar, geothermal, and dam-hydro are clean in terms of carbon dioxide being transferred from underground storage into the active carbon cycle. It's not just madness to ignore these facts, it's downright cruel to those that will be affected (including those who live near trees that will be more likely to catch fire, or those that live near the coasts who will be affected in multiple ways including stronger hurricanes). As a British American, I can also tell you that off-shore wind is a beautiful addition to the skyline, and attracts tourist dollars for boat trips. Please do not restrict wind power in our naturally-beautiful state.
