The Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) has been a cornerstone of New Hampshire’s energy policy since 2007, fostering a diverse, sustainable, and local energy economy. Across New Hampshire, this market-driven program has successfully incentivized investments in building new renewable energy infrastructure while also extending the life of existing renewable energy sources. We need to support and encourage ALL kinds of energy production. Policy-makers looking to reduce electric rates should focus on innovating the regulation of the distribution and transmission systems.
