OMG. Do you not understand the importance of local control and education?? The legislature keeps usurping local control and passing the buck for costs. It's out of conrtrol and unacceptable. Increasing the total revenue raised under the statewide education property tax, so that you can require municipalities to send excess statewide education property tax payments to the department of revenue administration is as unacceptable idea as donor towns were. Why would I want to send dollars to the state so you can spend them on EFA's and the other things you've diverted our tax dollars to, which the majority of legislators or citizens did/do NOT support. No way!!! You changed the purpose of the Education Trust Fund to support a program opposed by 80% of voters and now you want to demand we send you property tax dollars you said are ours to you?? No way!!! You need to increase base adequacy costs per pupil without requesting anything from towns or municipailities. The state has been avoiding, circumventing, arguing against itself for decades about funding an adequate education. The courts and majority of citizens keep telling you we want more from the state -- and yet instead you propose bills like this that only give an increase if we give you money and concede local control. . This bill is against the interests and positions of the majority of NH citizens. It's a NO!!!
