Dear Members of NH House and the House Education Funding Committee. I as a resident of Brookline,NH have experienced 3 consecutive years of increase in property taxes in excess of 10% every year. All of that in addition to increase in fuel, heating and basic amenities has taken a toll in my family’s financial and physical wellbeing. I firmly believe our local government is not managing and spending the “school” proprtion of the taxes appropriately. A cap on tax increase tied to inflation will give us residents (who are struggling to make ends meet) a huge relief. Please pass HB675 to bring back accountability and sanity to local governance and taxation.
