I support this bill 100% one of my dear friends, just went through the ringer in the court system with her daughter after her daughter overdosed on drugs it was neglecting her children was being vindictive to her mother. When she got the kids back she wouldn’t let her mom see the kids anymore. How awful is that! After everything, her mother did for her and her children grandparents play a vital role in their grandchildren’s lives, and I know for a fact how much these little girls love their Mimi. She is a dear friend. You can see pictures of how happy these girls were with their Mimi all over Facebook. You could tell that these girls were thriving and happy in her care. My poor friend hasn’t seen her granddaughters in two years because when she went to court, a third judge who didn’t even know the case, dismissed it based on her still being married, even though she was separated from her husband for like a year my friend had no rights to see her granddaughters, and that is very unfair to the children as well as the grandmother. They just lost the most loving and caring grandmother that there is out there. Everyone could see the love these little girls had for their Mimi. This is just so heartbreaking. Please pass this law, allowing grandparents, visitations and rights whether the parents are married separated or divorced. Thank you please pass this bill.!!
