I support HB486. All children should have a continued and meaningful relationship with their grandparents regardless if the parents are married, separated or divorced, the word nuclear family should be removed from the bill , unfortunately the language in the current RSA allows weaponization of bad parents against good loving grandparents, usually out of some sort of retaliation or malicious intent. Not only do the grandparents suffer the loss of losing their living grandchildren, but the grandchildren suffer the loss of their grandparents, especially if the grandparents had a meaningful relationship and we’re very involved in their lives and now they are ripped out of of their lives because of their parents vindictive motives. This is an epidemic in this country. There are so many grandparents wrongly being separated from their grandchildren. Good grandparents want to be the lifeline for their grandchildren in a lot of these cases where the parents are restricting access to the children. Please pass this bill,!
