What a strange bill! At a time when it is paramount that we find alternatives to car traffic, this bill seeks to limit State funds to support exploration of passenger rail. This could jeopardize ongoing projects, including maintenance of Amtrak and tourist excursion rail systems and result in breaches to the safety of riders and employees! I should say that I LOVE riding on trains and find them very convenient! I would hate to see these valuable and accessible resources stopped in their tracks (as it were)!
