Authors: Bruce Wiseman "PSYCHIATRY THE ULTIMATE BETRAYAL " ; and Samuel Blumenfeld, "Who Killed Excellence" [ in education ] , recognized and targeted psychiatry [psychology] as the root cause of the disintegration of what was once the pride of America and in fact the world - the American public education system. One easily verified example is psychiatry's undue influence in altering the methods of teaching beginning-readers; the most simple of the academic disciplines; and easily accomplished PRIOR TO the existence of public schooling. In the mid-1600s Connecticut ordered the heads of households to teach their children and others " to PERFECTLY read the English language." (emphasis added) It was not uncommon to achieve a near 100 per cent rate of literacy in the larger towns of New England colonies. This changed in the early 1900s when psychiatrists set about to alter instruction methods so as to accomplish NOT READING ABILITY as the goal but rather emphasized "literacy" for the purposes of socialization of the learner. In other words "socialism" was the goal. Independent thinking readers were an obstacle to the psychiatrist's scheme for altering American politics. The above digression is only meant to point out the fact that psychiatry has relentlessly sought governmental sanction or assistance of any kind that has and will continue to expand its influence over we the people. Today it is not the nose of the camel we are facing, it is the ass end of the camel. I urge you to support HB 656. William C. Mackenzie Goffstown
