To require 90 day proof of residency would create undue hardship for many of homeless individuals and families. As a homeless shelter, we depend on strong partnerships with local welfare offices to respond quickly to the needs of the people we serve. This ability to respond quickly is critically important to creating stability and works well in its current form. Lengthening the process would create chaos and as well as longer wait lists.
