This bill is ludicrous on its face and makes NH residents less safe. How you ask? It would make it unlawful for a firearms instructor to hand a firearm to someone seeking to learn about gun saftey unless they were an FFL which isn't something most firearms instructors are or even need to be. This bill seeks to criminalize gun saftey advocates. In addition we have seen repeatedly all over the country that waiting periods don't work it makes it so women being stalked have to wait to get a gun to protect themselves when the restraining order fails it in no way makes us safer. Look around the room during the Hearing and you'll see the overwhelming majority who oppose this bill are NH residents while those that are pushing for it are out of state gun control group members who shouldn't even be allowed to voice their opinions on NH state laws. Please do what's right and ignore those out of state voices by opposing this bill and finding it inexpedient to legislate.
