It is innappropriate for a mandate that is as long as 90 days. I can understand the idea of creating some sort of "standard" for residency, but this is not the path. Welfare is GREATLY under utilized in this town with mostly denials coming out of that office. It is important to meet the federal standards and help support those residents that need it. These include those in all phases of housing in Laconia and those seeking housing in Laconia that may have just spent a night in town seeking help. Blocking assistance and making more roadblocks is NOT the mission of city welfare, supporting the community, in particular those in need is.
