Resilient local farms build strong local economies! I support what the conservation districts are doing in offering climate resilience funds. We run a small hobby farm, and struggle with watering through droughts and dealing with the diseases and pests that follow too much rain. We are well known locally for organic sweet corn, but this is really hard to do in a drought. My daughter wants to take over here and make this her business, and she will need help installing irrigation and high tunnels to make farming more profitable here.
