It is reported in The New Hampshire Coastal Flood Risk Summary, Part I, published by the University of NH, that in Durham, Nh between 1901 and 2018 annual precipitation increased by 14%, and the maximum daily precipitation increased by 16%. Extreme precipitation events are expected to increase in frequency in the future. Also in The Flood Risk Summary-Part 1 groundwater levels will rise as local sea levels rise. Seal level rise with higher groundwater levels will alter coastal communities. It is important to keep funding coastal reilency work.
