Please support this bill! HB 246 - The NH Conservation Districts Climate Resiliency Grant program - is an excellent bill to continue to fund. It helps farmers produce more food and be more profitable. Where I work, Branch Hill Farm in Milton Mills, NH we were a NH Climate Resilience Grant recipient in 2024, and it has been a wonderful boon to improving our sheep pasture and implementing climate resilience practices like no-till cover cropping systems in our vegetable production gardens, both of which help make the land more productive, viable, and healthy. This bill is an EXCELLENT investment for NH – it invests in strong farm businesses and is good for the overall agricultural economy. Please support our farms who are working hard to stay alive WHILE ALSO healing their degraded land and working on getting more resilient against the real threats of climate change that ALL farmers in NH have been experiencing - drought, floods, new pests constantly, and more.
