To Honorable Chair and members of the Finance Committee. I am a resident of Alstead NH and have been involved with agriculture and forestry all my life. We can argue as to the cause, but we can't deny that the climate is changing and we need to be proactive with our response. We are blessed here in NH with the resources of soil and water to produce nourishing locally grown food and avoid relying upon big business agriculture 3,000 miles away to feed our grandchildren, our children, and ourselves. Not only is locally grown food production critical, the open fields properly cared for create a pastoral landscape that makes NH a beautiful place to live. I hope you all can support this important legislation.
