Dear Finance Committee Members, I am writing in favor of HB 246. In 2024 our farm was the recipient of a NH Conservation Districts Climate Resilience Grant. This grant helped us fund drilling a well, something we had been considering for years but felt financially out of reach. We were relying on a spring to irrigate our crops which could not keep up with watering demands during the longer, more extreme periods of drought we have been experiencing. Having access to an adequate water supply will be a game changer for our farm going forward. It will allow us to grow more food for our local community and keep our crops healthier. Please support this important program which helps NH farms produce more food and be more profitable. Thank You
