The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society Veterinary Medical Alliance oppose declawing except in rare cases when it’s necessary for medical purposes, such as the removal of cancerous tumors. Declawing is painful as it involves the amputation of the last bone of each toe on a cat’s paw. It would be like cutting off your finger at the last knuckle.. Please make 2025 the year we finally pass this bill and end declawing in New Hampshire once and for all! Thank you.
