I have personal experience with the horrible consequences of "elective" surgery for cats. Declawing cats is unnecessary and it is a very painful procedure. I used to work for VCA Hemingway Cat Hospital in Saratoga, CA and I witnessed the negative side effects of this operation. Removing a cat's claws is the human equivalent of the doctor cutting off your finger tips at the first knuckle! These feline patients who had claws surgically removed suffered through a very long recovery period. Most pet parents regretted their decision. I will never forget seeing the kitties in their cages, wearing bandages and crying incessantly. They could never even walk normally! PLEASE, I've been told this House Bill has gone through the wringer. It's time that the anti-declawing bill finally PASS and you can help make that happen! Thank you for your cooperation. Your volunteer spirit is admirable. I'm a native Californian. Our state representatives as well as the senators are salaried in Sacramento. They have fancy offices and they're not accessible. I appreciate your public service! Your constituent, Jacqueline Texier-Calhoun P.S. This is my first stance as a voter in New Hampshire. My family just moved to Plymouth 3 months ago. Please be kind!
