I moved to New Hampshire in 1999 with 8 cats all rescues and feral cats. My mother at the time purchased a Siamese cat she called Rhody. She had Rhody declawed, I was horrified. How could someone do this to someone they love? She had no idea what she did or what this surgery does to cats, his claws got infected; he cried a lot then finally limped until his paws healed a month later. A year after that he escaped and got outside, he was an inside cat and had never been outdoors. We found what was left of him 3 days later with coyote poop next little Rhody, this site I will never forget. Please prohibit declawing forever ...
