This bill would be irresponsible and destructive at any time, but during a housing crisis, it is especially so. Just 2 years ago, I found myself in need of a new apartment with 30 days notice. After two weeks of searching with no results, I was incredibly lucky to find something suitable and affordable. I cannot begin to tell you how stressful those 2-3 weeks were until I finally secured housing. This bill will lead to higher rents and make the housing shortage far worse.
