THE COMMITTEE ON Commerce
to which was referred HB 633-FN
AN ACT creating a legislative study committee to investigate the implementation of housing investment trusts in New Hampshire.
Having considered the same, the committee recommends that the Bill
OUGHT TO PASS
BY A VOTE OF: 6-0
Senator Donovan Fenton
For the Committee
This bill would create a legislative study committee to investigate the implementation of housing investment trusts in New Hampshire. The trusts would be a 501(c)(3) charity and would use private investments to acquire properties, providing families with flexible financing options. Since the Committee did not hear from certain state agencies and believes action could be taken without governmental involvement, we believe a study committee is appropriate to further study this issue.
