HOUSE RESOULTION No. 22

 

Memorializing State Representative Marcia Moody of Newmarket

 

WHEREAS, we have learned with profound sorrow of the death of our friend and colleague Marcia G. Moody, who was serving her sixth term as a State Representative representing the citizens of Rockingham County District 17, the towns of Newfields and Newmarket; and

 

WHEREAS, Marcia Moody served with diligence and enthusiasm on the committees on Resources, Recreation, and Development and Election Law; and 

 

WHEREAS, Marcia Moody worked for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service for 26 years which brought her to several countries where she experienced great opportunities such as skiing the Alps; and 

 

WHEREAS, as an unabashed progressive who fought for causes she deeply believed in, The Nation magazine named Marcia Moody as its Most Valuable State Legislator; now, therefore, be it 

 

RESOLVED, by the House of Representatives in Regular Session convened, Marcia G. Moody be granted the highest praise and accolades and given our profound thanks for her service to her country, the state, and the town she called home, and that expressions of our most heartfelt sympathy be extended to all of her friends and loved ones.
