HOUSE RESOLUTION No. 21

Honoring the victims of Orlando, Florida

 

WHEREAS, the New Hampshire House of Representatives learned with great sorrow of the tragic killings of club-goers at an Orlando night club this past weekend; and

 

WHEREAS, Tony award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda proclaimed hours later: “We rise and fall, and light from dying embers, remembrances that hope and love last longer and love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love cannot be killed or swept aside;” and

 

WHEREAS, the New Hampshire House has a long-standing history of affirming its support for communities, states, and nations throughout the world, especially in times of distress; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the New Hampshire House of Representatives honors the victims of the shooting at Pulse nightclub and offers its condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims; and be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the House of Representatives in regular session convened, stands with the community of Orlando, Florida and offers its support, love, and prayers.
