Senator Debra Altschiller

For the Committee

This bill would strengthen the process by which crime victims receive restitution, but would not increase the amounts paid. Establishing an annual financial review of offenders would improve enforcement efforts by determining when an offender has the ability to pay the court-ordered restitution amount. The reforms would also improve communication and transparency for crime victims.
