HB 1121-FN - FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT relative to admission to Wellington state park by residents of the town of Alexandria.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Department of Resources and Economic Development has determined this bill will reduce state restricted revenue by $4,149 in FY 2000, by $8 ,713 in FY 2001, by $9,149 in FY 2002, by $9,606 in FY 2003 and by $10,086 in FY 2004. There will be no fiscal impact on county and local revenue or state, county and local expenditures.
METHODOLOGY:
The Department stated total service charge income to Wellington State Park was $50,178 in FY 1998. The Department assumes a 5% growth in income each year thereafter, providing estimates of $55,321 in FY 2000, $58,087 in FY 2001, $60,991 in FY 2002, $64,041 in FY 2003 and $67,243 in FY 2004. The Department further assumed 15% of the total service charge income is attributable to the Town of Alexandria residents using the park on weekdays. This will result in a loss of revenue to the Parks Fund of $4,149 for a half year in FY 2000, $8,713 in FY 2001, $9,149 in FY 2002, $9,606 in FY 2003 and $10,086 in FY 2004.
