STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Three

 

AN ACT establishing an additional penalty for a violation of privacy.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

179:1  New Paragraph; Breaches of the Peace; Violation of Privacy.  Amend RSA 644:9 by inserting after paragraph V the following new paragraph:

VI.  Any person who is convicted of a second or subsequent offense under paragraphs I-III-a, based on a complaint which alleged that the person has had one or more prior convictions under paragraphs I-III-a, or under a reasonably equivalent offense in an out-of-state jurisdiction, shall be guilty of a class B felony.

179:2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2024.
