SB 298-FN was written to address operational standards and the certification process of recovery residences in New Hampshire. The ED&A Committee amended the bill to require recovery residences to be certified by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, guarantee posting of residents’ rights and proof of certification. The amendment also provides enforcement authority to the Department of Health and Human Services.
